2011: Cooperation with Deutsche Börse in the "Certified Financial Engineer" training program

The European Institute for Financial Engineering and Derivatives Research has entered into a cooperation with Deutsche Börse in the training program "Certified Financial Engineer". The Certified Financial Engineer is the official training program of the European Institute for Financial Engineering and Derivatives Research (EIFD) and Deutsche Börse AG in the field of financial engineering. The program is managed by the EIFD. Deutsche Börse AG is responsible for the examination system.

The European Institute for Financial Engineering and Derivatives Research is launching the "Certified Financial Engineer" certificate course in cooperation with Deutsche Börse. The Certified Financial Engineer is offered in German and English.

The book "Financial Modeling", published by Schäffer-Poeschel, shows how the most important tasks in financial practice are professionally solved with Excel and VBA. The Excel models in the book contain all calculations. Financial Modeling is the first German-language book on this topic. In the last of five chapters it shows how options and futures are priced and which option and future strategies can be chosen. What is new is that the entire context is presented holistically using an example.

The book has a high academic standard and at the same time shows how the most important tasks in financial practice are professionally solved with Excel and VBA. The book is divided into 5 chapters - each chapter is based on a comprehensive Excel model. The functionality of the Excel model is explained in detail and step by step. With a web code in the book, all Excel models can be downloaded.

2010: The book "Derivatives" is published in Chinese by Oldenbourg Verlag".

After the book was written in German in 2007 in cooperation with Eurex and published in English in 2008, the book was published in Chinese (both traditional and simplified) and directly distributed in China in 2010.

The book is aimed at financial intermediaries as well as private and institutional investors and students with a focus on finance. The book shows derivative instruments, their use and implementation in the practice of asset management, and possible solutions to problems. The book differs from other textbooks in that it combines complex theory with practical application and shows their use.

In 2011 the book was published in Portuguese.

2007: Foundation of the EIFD as an affiliated institute of the state university HfWU

The European Institute for Financial Engineering and Derivatives Research (EIFD) is founded on 22 February 2007. The EIFD is an affiliated institute of the state university HfWU with headquarters in Nürtingen. The EIFD aims to combine science and practice in the field of financial engineering.
