With both academic excellence and professional excellence, you will expand your financial modeling skills by working on a case study. The EIFD case study is based on the case study method used by leading business schools and promises a high learning success through motivated learning, practical cases and the use of all available resources.
The EIFD case study does not require in-depth previous knowledge of finance or financial modeling. The case study is designed so that you acquire your knowledge in small steps and thus expand your competence step by step. Through close supervision, you will not feel lost at any point or have the feeling that you are not getting anywhere.
You will work on the case study in subtasks that build on each other, so that you will not be confronted with a too complex overall task. The solution of each subtask brings you one step closer to your goal within the framework of the case study. You will experience the fascination of Financial Engineering: Complex tasks are structured and broken down until they can be solved as simple tasks without any problems.
You will be supported in four ways in the creation of the case study:
- With the case study "Pharma Group" in Excel you can see how a solution to the problem can be modelled and can transfer this solution to your case study to be solved.
- Where necessary, you will receive precise literature references where you can find suggestions for solutions to the given task in the course materials.
- Exercises in the "Certified Financial Engineer Toolbox" allow you to test and expand your knowledge where necessary.
- You submit your partial solutions and receive feedback from the supervising professors. You can of course contact them at any time if you have any questions.
